LAKE DISTRICT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Working as a wedding photographer in The Lake District is a great position to be in and I love my job. I get to spend my working day amongst beautiful landscapes, photographing happy people enjoying themselves and crafting the visual story of what will be one of, if not the happiest days of your lives.

I describe myself as a documentary wedding photographer, the story telling element being critically important to defining the style of the coverage that I offer you and how I will be shooting for about 95% of the time. You might have also heard the terms reportage, candid and photojournalistic photography. They essentially all mean the same thing, the natural, relaxed, unstaged photographs that we all love. They’re actually the favourites from my own wedding.

venue It’s important that you get to spend as much of your day with each other and with your guests as possible. To that end I’ll stay in the background, observing and capturing your day unobtrusively as it unfolds. I’ll look for brief moments that make your day unique. I’ll watch for the fun, the emotion, the laughter and the tears. All you need to do is relax and immerse yourself in your wedding day!

I’m obviously happy to photograph some family groups if you would like them, most couples do. We’ll also take a short time out to photograph some beautiful relaxed portraits of you together, in the grounds or in the stunning Lake District landscape you chose to get married in. It can be as short as 5-10 mins, enough time to work some magic, or we can jump in my car after the wedding breakfast if your happy to take an hour out to find some stunning locations in themountains.
