What a place for a wedding! The Inn on the lake lies right on Ullswaters shore, with 15 acres of grounds and magnificent lawns sweeping down to the lakeside, with a couple of it’s own jettties. The grounds have great locations for the formal family group photographs as well as having stunning lake and fell backdrops for beautiful wedding photographs of the bride & groom. It’s one of the biggest wedding venues in the Lake District and as such can cater for the largest sized weddings, something surprisingly few lake district hotels can manage to do in terms of sheer numbers. It never feels huge or overwhelming though, as it’s dwarfed by the land it sits in and is perfectly situated for weddings of any size, from elopements with just the pair of you to huge 250+ guest extravaganzas. It is one of my favourite places for wedding photography in the Lake District.
