A Lodore Hotel wedding in Borrowdale – Jemma & Mark
A xmas lake district Lodore Falls Hotel wedding
Jemma & Mark had their lake district wedding in the Borrowdale valley at The Lodore Hotel a few days after xmas, which was a great excuse to keep the festivities going for a bit longer. P.E teacher Jemma, formerly a british badmington champion and gardener Mark both share a love of and a keen eye for fashion, so no surprises that both their wedding outfits looked incredible, topped off by shoes from Jimmy Choo and Jeffrey West. The bridesmaids were sporting beautiful custom made jewellery by Karen Rose and Jemma had used a bequest from her grandma for the couples rings, as a memoriam to her, a lovely idea.
The ceremony room was beautifully laid out by Yvonne from Ambience styling, Bella, Jemma’s little goddaughter did a beautiful job of scattering her rose petals down the aisle, and Joeli, Jemma’s sister flew all the way over fro Australia to deliver an emotional reading during the ceremony.
After the ceremony it was time for drinks and canape’s, and some quick family shots in the lobby as it was bitterly cold outside. Mark & Jemma decided to brave the cold to go out for some couple shots on the bridge and up at surprise view, I had to work really quickly and it wasn’t long before a tough but shivering Jemma was back inside the hotel, and ready for the speeches, delivered by her dad, Mark, his cousin and best man Graeme and Jemma’s close friend Caz, who presented Jemma’s mum with a mop, as an award for her amazing dancing at the hen night….mmmm; I wasn’t staying for the dancing though, so had no chance to observe this phenomenon myself 🙂 and left the happy couple and their guests after the speeches to enjoy the Lodore’s excellent food .
Below are a selection of some of my favorite images from the day. If you were a guest at this wedding and want to see the complete set of images, they are available for the next 30 days
