The day started hot and sunny for Hannah and Mike’s wedding ceremony at pretty St Oswald’s Church in the Cumbrian village of Dean.

Hannah arrived looking stunning in her Maggie Sottero dress. St Oswald’s is a pretty church dating from the 12th century and is Hannah’s family church which gave the ceremony a personal feel.
Then it was on to Hannah’s parents’ farm in Eagleshield for the reception. Bakerwood Marquees, a bespoke marquee and catering hire business, provided Hannah, Mike and their guests with a wonderful reception. They really took care of every detail, providing a personal service, an elegantly dressed marquee and delicious food. There was some rain at this point though the only guests likely to notice were Hannah’s father and brother who had to leave the wedding for a short time to milk the cows! (A sharp reminder that life on a farm doesn’t stand still, not even for a family wedding!)
Evening entertainment was provided by a DJ who had everybody dancing well into the evening. The day was beautifully rounded off with a fireworks display. As the rain persisted, guests watched the display from inside the marquee except for Hannah and Mike who watched them outside underneath an umbrella.
A gorgeous, laid back and unique family wedding. Congratulations to Hannah and Mike for getting married and for providing yourselves, your family and your friends a truly memorable day.
