Nicky and Steve had glorious weather for their wedding at the beautiful Storrs Hall Hotel on Lake Windermere.  Storrs Hall is an elegantly restored Grade II Georgian Mansion with luxurious and sumptuous interiors. Outside its landscaped gardens and lawns lead right down to the lakes waterfront.

Nicky wore a beautiful dress designed by Sassi Holford, her make up was expertly done by Lisa Jayne from Lime Beauty rooms of Ambleside, and Mel from equinox did the hair, before heading off for her sailing holiday!

The ceremony was held outside on the waterfront on the romantic and pretty garden pavilion. Guests were seated on exquisitely dressed chairs, courtesy of Yvonne of Ambience Venue Styling, looking on to the pavilion with the lake behind,  which gave a seemingly endless view of the lake and its  natural beauty.  The Gazebo was dressed in flowers by Brenda of Gardenalia, who supplied Nicky’s beautiful bouquets. Entertainment during the ceremony was provided by jazz and blues pianist Boogie Bill and whilst the couple signed the register guests were sung to by Nicky’s cousin.

After the ceremony drinks were served (and were well received in the hot sunshine). It was at this point that everybody learned that John the registrar, who had conducted the wedding service, is also a folk musician and had played with Boogie Bill in the past!

Guests were also impressed by the original wedding cake made by an award winning cake designer, Lisa of the Sweetdream Cake Company, which had convincing replicas of Nicky and Steve on top.

A pretty, relaxed and sun soaked wedding in idyllic surroundings. Congratulations to Nicky and Steve for getting married and for creating such a memorable day for yourselves, your family and your friends.
