Rebecca and Paul met in Northern Ireland, they travelled back and forth before Paul decided to move to England so they could be together. How romantic! Keeping up his romantic streak Paul proposed as the first fireworks went off during a bonfire night celebration in the Yorkshire Dales.

The couple decided upon a Lake District wedding as Rebecca has always loved the Lakes and spent frequent and much enjoyed holidays here. The Punchbowl Inn had a special place in their hearts as a cosy, homely place and so was the obvious venue choice for the pair.

I arrived at the Punchbowl Inn on an admittedly slightly dull morning and headed off to shoot the groom as he was getting ready. There was an excited atmosphere, Paul obviously couldn’t wait to get to the ceremony room and see Rebecca in all her bridal glory!

I then headed to where Rebecca and her bridesmaids were getting themselves all dressed up. The same excited air hung in the room, with laughs and giggles all around. Rebecca was chirpy and joking with her girls as she had her hair and makeup done by Lucinda Hayton.

Rebecca entered the ceremony room looking absolutely gorgeous in her 50s style ankle length dress with lots of beautiful detail. The flowers were done by The Floristry in Kendal and added a brilliant, colourful accent to the place!

Following the lovely relaxed ceremony, the newlyweds greeted their guests and received congratulations with drinks and nibbles in the bar area of the Inn. It was delightful, with lots of laughter and cheerfulness. Everyone was smiling and delighted for the couple!

After everyone had given their congratulations I took Rebecca and Paul off for a private shoot in the surrounds of the Punchbowl. I particularly like some of the photos that I took of them giggling and kissing under the sign for the Punchbowl, I loved shooting them!

I returned the bride and groom to their guests and everyone headed to the dining room for the meal and speeches. Everyone then partied the night away to the sounds of Pete Lashley.

Many congratulations to Rebecca and Paul on their marriage and for creating such a delightful wedding and many lasting memories for their friends and family. It was a great day!
