My 2014 lake district wedding photography review.
What a year, and what a pleasure to capture the wedding day of so many couples. I’m not sure how it happens, but my photography and laid back approach does seem to attract the best wedding couples on the planet. Without exception they have been a joy to shoot, lovely, grounded people. with a great bunch of family and friends around them, supporting and celebrating with them. I have had my Keswick studio for over 13 years and I can honestly say I have never met one of these infamous bridezillas that my colleagues all talk about. I reckon they are mythical creatures from wedding vendors legends 🙂
Working in the lake district is obviously one of the major perks of my job, the fact that I am photographing weddings is another bonus. Who else gets to go to work and meet all these interesting people, dressed to the nines, looking gorgeous and smart, full of smiles, in a great mood and bent on having a good time, celebrating with their family & friends in the most beautiful part of England? It’s a blast.
Add to that the trust my clients have to leave me to do my own thing and simply capture the story of the day for them, most of them are happy to leave me to select the pictures for them, so the first thing they see is the finished storybook album, with the story of their day unfolding inside; that’s a rare privilege, one I appreciate very much, and one that gives my clients the best possible album.
You can read many of my client’s stories in their own words on my wedding stories page here
