is the clever name that Uk best b&b of 2009,  Augill Castle, near Brough, uses as it’s web address.

And thats where we stayed last weekend for our belated staff xmas dinner, seeing as we were too busy in December to have one.  Tonia brought her partner and Popsi and I brought our children to stay in the beautiful and luxurious rooms, hang out with Holly, the castle dog and generally be spoilt rotten by the owners, Wendy and Simon and the divine food they served us. Its a stunningly romantic place, obviously,  as one couple who were staying that weekend got engaged before dinner and another couple, the next morning after breakfast,  decided to book the castle for their wedding!

If you want to treat yourself to a short break in a beautiful building, with tastefully furnished rooms and delicious food then look no further.  It’s also a great place to have a wedding if the number of guests can be kept down to 60 or below.
