trash the dress in the lake district
Shoot the dress is our version of the American “Trash The Dress” craze, where brides go for wild photoshoots some time after the wedding.
Our version is more focused on getting great shots, rather than just trashing the poor dress per se, and most of our clients have no intention of getting their precious dress trashed. Wet and muddy, fine, they can be drycleaned later, but not totally trashed. (there are always exceptions tho 🙂 )
Its a great service as it also allows brides to get some stunning fashion or landscape images in our signature style, even if we never shot the original wedding. And if we did, it lets us push the boundaries that much further 🙂
Its also a possible fall back for brides who were dissapointed with their weddng images, although the day cannot be replaced, at least it is now possible to get a set of unique and different images after the fact.
Faye wanted a water and a mountain theme, with a little bit of urban thrown in, so a 3 hour session was enough to capture a load of great shots in all 3 environments.
