The Netherwood Hotel wedding of Kirsty and Matt at Grange over Sands in Cumbria.

Kirsty and Matthew chose Netherwood Hotel in Grange-over-Sands to hold their wedding.  The Netherwood Hotel is a stunning country house hotel in South Lake District. The beautiful Grade II listed Victorian mansion has a luxurious and elegant interior with a grandeur that also manages to create a cosy feel for its guests. Outside the Netherwood boasts fifteen acres of secluded woodland, exquisitely landscaped gardens and breath-taking views of the sea across the Morcambe Bay estuary.

Kirsty’s hair and make-up was expertly done by specialist wedding hairdresser and make-up artist Katie Dale. Katie described Kirsty’s hair and make-up as ‘country glam’. The result being both stunning and natural.

Wedding singer Howard Wing provided the entertainment and MC’ed during the wedding meal.  He succeeded in getting everyone  up and dancing, doing a conga across the dining room, culminating in dancing on the tables and a blizzard of napkins. And all this before the speeches! This left me thinking that either Kirsty and Matthew’s friends and family are serious party animals or Howard Wing is the best wedding singer in the business. I suspect both to be true!  Howard also sang for Kirsty and Matthew’s first dance.

Interestingly, both Katie Dale and Howard Wing were both finalists in the North West Region Wedding Industry Awards in their respective fields, with Howard winning both the regional and the national title for wedding entertainment, great effort Howard!  These awards are widely respected in the industry,  although I cannot enter as  I am one of the 4 judges of the photography section, 🙂 both for the regions and the nationals.
