The Farlam Hall wedding of Ali & Adam

farlam hall wedding

The sun shone all day for Alison and Adam’s wedding in an area of outstanding natural beauty that has become known as Hadrian’s Wall Country. You can read about the run up to and Alisons reflections on the wedding itself on  my lake district wedding stories page here

Alison started the day at her home with make up from Aileen of Dreamdays Spa  and hair by <a href="https://www viagra sin receta medica.facebook.com/pages/LG2-Hairdressing/219077481444423″ target=”_blank”>Drew from LG2 sudio’s in Carlisle.  The ceremony was held at St Mary’s Church in Beaumont just outside Carlisle. (a pretty church built by the Normans in 1296) After the ceremony the newlyweds and their guests moved on to the beautiful Farlam Hall at Brampton for the wedding reception. The couple travelling in style in the VW Beetle that had been supplied for the day, with driver,  as a present, by Adam’s friend from  Ben Hodgsons car dealership in Dalston. Ali’s beautiful flowers were all done by Linda’s Flowers

I had never shot a wedding at Farlam Hall before and I was really impressed. Farlam Hall is a timelessly elegant venue set in beautiful grounds. The couple and their guests felt very welcome by the friendly staff and were treated to a sumptuous wedding meal and then relaxed with drinks in Farlam Halls’ spectacular gardens.

Then it was on to Fantails restaurant in Wetheral for a party DJ’d by the originally named ‘Amp & Dec’ who also provided the music for Alison and Adam’s first dance.

A mention must go to Alison’s mum who was charged with entertaining baby Matilda at home during the bridal preparations (and got herself covered in Weetabix for her troubles) but Matilda the consummate professional put the incident behind her and performed her flower girl duties diligently!

Congratulations to Alison and Adam for getting married and creating a memorable day for yourselves, your family and your friends.

Below are some highlights  from the day, and the complete set of wedding photographs can be seen here, you may need to ask the bride & groom for the password.
