Claire and Andy decided to hold their wedding at the magnificently restored Blencowe Hall, one of the Rowley Estates situated near Greystoke, Penrith. The wedding party stayed at the hall for a few days, and enjoyed activities such as clay pigeon shooting as well as a beautiful, intimate wedding.

The bride and groom were married in one of the hall’s cozy living rooms which was decorated with flowers by Flower World. Guests settled themselves on leather couches and the couple’s dog Bella (whose collar had been specially made in the States by Arcadius Dog!) curled herself up at the groom’s feet. Claire entered looking radiant in her wed2be dress, with her hair done by Capelli of Penrith, her head dress made by The Case of the Curious Bride and her make-up subtle and beautiful. Her The ceremony was intimate and light-hearted, there were laughs and tears aplenty.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests retired to another reception room for drinks, nibbles and congratulations!

Back in the receptions rooms the bride and groom were able to relax and chill out with their guests, fuss over Bella and play with the children. After this I was able to whisk Claire and Andy away for a private, slightly damp shoot in the stunning grounds of Blencowe Hall… And of course Bella came with us, but the barley was a little long for her!

Once the bride and groom re-joined their guests it was time for the speeches. Best men Andy and Scott provided guests with a hilarious slideshow presentation about the groom followed by a more politically correct presentation of the couple. After the toasts it was time for me to pack up and leave everyone to party the night away.

Congratulations to Claire and Andy for creating such a thoughtful and intimate day, and lasting memories for all!
